The title of this blog comes from my favorite old WPRB station ID, which I used to play before my show on that college radio station more often than not. The ID, in turn, comes from a song sung by Esther Nelson called “Touch,” from the Dimension 5 record Together that she did with Bruce Haack in 1971.

I’ve spent a lot of time not really thinking—perhaps gathering up materials for future thoughts, perhaps spending too much of myself in idle routines.
